How to enter Philips S398 Recovery Mode, Hard reset (Wipe) and Remove forgotten unlock Pattern.

Recovery Mode Philips S398

1. Turn off the device
2. Press and hold Volume Down key and Power key
3. Release Power key when the device vibrate, keep pressing Volume Down key untill Android logo appears on the screen.
4. Press Power key one time when the android logo with no text appears on the screen.
5. Use Volume Down key to select Menu
6. Use Volume key to Confirm

Hard reset Philips S398 using External Keys ( remove your forgotten pattern unlock )

1. In Recovery Mode, Use Volume Down key to select wipe data / factory reset
2. Press Volume Up key to confirm selection
3. Use Volume Down key to select Yes — delete all user data
4. Press Volume Up key to confirm selection
5. Use Volume Down key to select Reboot system now
6. Press Volume Up key to confirm selection

Hard reset using Settings Menu

1. Turn on the device
2. Select Apps
3. Select Settings
4. Select Backup and reset
5. Select Factory data reset
6. Select Reset device
7. Select Erase Everything
8. Select Ok

Warning! If you perform a hard reset, make sure to back up important data. The data can not be recovered after perform a hard reset. If you forgot your unlock pattern, It will remove your forgotten pattern unlock.
