Hello,
I recently bought a Samsung A6 ( SM-A600FZKNXEF). Before beginning to use it, I tried to install TWRP for backup ( not interested to root it for the moment). I followed the procedure but unfortunately, it did not work for me. After I installed TWRP and fix for RMM, the phone was rebooting indefinitely. Luckily, I was able to flash an official ROM.
Did someone already face this issue?
Read this post https://www.recovery-mode.com/twrp/twrp-for-sm-a600f-android-9-pie-samsung-galaxy-a6-2018.html focus on point 12 to prevent bootloop
Thank you for your reply. As suggested, I focused on point 12 and I noticed that I didn’t install Magisk-v18.1. So I tried again and the phone normally booted after I install TWRP But I face another strange behavior : I wanted to protect my phone with a PIN and it didn’t work ( the phone was indefinitely asking my pin). Then I rebooted and … it was bootlooping :-(.
I didn’t know about that, it may be a bug of this TWRP. If you like you can try to root it, it may be solve the problem. For rooting read this post https://www.recovery-mode.com/root/root-sm-a600f-android-9-pie-samsung-galaxy-a6-2018.html
Thank you again for your help. I read in rooting procedure : “If your target device has a custom firmware flash counter, Rooting will trigger it. If you’re lucky, Triangle Away has support for your device and can be used to reset the counter.” and it scared me!!
I faced several issues while trying to install TWRP and do not feel comfortable with all these tools. I think I will not go further.
Hello,
I noticed that if I install TWRP and Magisk the phone seems to not be RMM locked:
– OEM unlock option is still visible in development tools
– I can still flash TWRP
– in download mode, RMM state = Prenormal” is not displayed.
So it seems that the phone is not RML locked. Maybe it can help.
If RMM State is not Prenormal, it means the bootloader are unlocked
