How to enter HTC Butterfly 2 Recovery Mode, Hard reset (Wipe) and Pattern Lock recovery.

Recovery Mode HTC Butterfly 2

1. Turn off the device
2. Press and hold Volume Down key and Power key about 10 seconds
3. Release only Power key when you see HTC logo or android logo
4. Keep pressing Volume Down key until you see Recover mode.
5. Use Volume keys to select Menu
6. Use Power key to Confirm

Hard reset HTC Butterfly 2 using External Keys ( remove your forgotten pattern unlock )

1. In Recovery Mode select wipe data / factory reset
2. press Power key to confirm
3. select Yes — delete all user data, press power key to confirm
4. select Reboot system now to finish hard reset

Hard reset using Settings Menu

1. Turn on the device
2. Select Apps
3. Select Settings
4. Select Backup and reset
5. Select Factory data reset
6. Select Reset device
7. Select Erase Everything
8. Select Ok

Warning! If you perform a hard reset, make sure to back up important data. The data can not be recovered after perform a hard reset.  If you forgot your unlock pattern, It will remove your forgotten pattern unlock.

   • My experienced, when we flashing the firmware It will unroot and delete recovery.
