How to hard reset LG V40 ThinQ and enter Factory data reset mode, also Soft reset, Remove forgotten unlock Pattern. We can do it with 2 ways by pressing combinations of external hardware keys and from Settings menu. Make sure to back up your important data before perform a hard reset. The data can not be recovered!
LG V40 ThinQ Factory data reset mode
- Turn power off
- Press and hold Volume down key and Power Key
- When LG Logo appears Release Power key only about 2 seconds and then press Power key one again.
- Release all keys when Factory data reset menu appears.
- Done!
Warning! If you perform a hard reset, make sure to back up important data. The data can not be recovered after perform a hard reset. If you forgot your unlock pattern, It will remove your forgotten pattern unlock.
Hard reset LG V40 ThinQ Procedures:
- Turn power off
- Press and hold Volume down key and Power Key
- When LG Logo appears Release Power key only about 2 seconds and then press Power key one again.
- Release all keys when Factory data reset menu appears.
- Use volume key to select “Yes”
- Press Power key to Confirm
- Use volume key to select “Yes” again.
- Press Power key to Confirm
- Done!
Soft reset using Settings Menu
- Turn on the device
- Select Apps
- Select Settings
- Select General
- Select Backup and reset
- Select Factory data reset
- Select Reset phone
- Select Delete All
If hard reset did not solve your problem, I suggest you to install fresh system by flashing the ROM.
