Complete guide How to Install Generic System Image (GSI) on Samsung Galaxy A51 – U8 Bootloader. I got many question how to install generic system image on Galaxy A51. It may be not easy for some users. As we know Galaxy A51 comes with dynamic partition, so we can not direct access to “system image” partition. Use it at your own risk! Follow the instructions carefully and Make sure to backup all your important data!
This tutorial will show you step by step to do it. I will starting from stock rom. If you make mistake from the beginning, the generic system can not boot. But remember, some generic system may be not work on A51.

- Download and Extract ODIN v3.13.1 from https://odindownload.com/SamsungOdin/
- Download and Install Samsung Mobile Phone Drivers
- Download Root_A51_U8_androidhowto.tar
- Download multidisabler-samsung-3.1.3.zip
- Download DynaPatch-V2.0.zip
- Download Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020.zip

- Make sure the bootloader are unlocked, OEM unlock option is grey out
- Enter Download Mode : Turn Power Off. Press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down key together, while pressing these keys, connect the phone to computer, then press volume up once.
- Open ODIN, IMPORTANT!: Uncheck “Auto Reboot” in Options!
- Flashing Root_A51_U8_androidhowto.tar as AP in ODIN, then click start.
- Magisk is now successfully flashed to your device! Several steps before you can properly use the device.
- DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP! Don’t remove USB Cable, let it connected. Press and hold Volume Down + Power Key, when the screen blank quickly press and hold Volume Up + Power key, when Samsung Logo appears release all keys
- Select Install – multidisabler-samsung-3.1.3.zip, Swipe to confirm Flash
- Select Install – Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020.zip, Swipe to confirm Flash
- Select Wipe -> Format data, type ‘yes’ and confirm
- Select Reboot to Recovery ( at this time you will not see “system image” partition yet )
- Select Install – DynaPatch-V2.0.zip, Swipe to confirm Flash
- Select Wipe -> Format data, type ‘yes’ and confirm
- Select Reboot to Recovery
- Done!
- Make sure the bootloader are unlocked, OEM unlock option is grey out
How to Install Generic System Image ( GSI )
- Enter TWRP Recovery Mode: Turn power off; Connect phone to computer then quickly Press and hold Volume Down + Power Key, when Samsung Logo appears release all keys
- Select Wipe – Format data ( type “yes” and confirm )
- Select Wipe – Advanced wipe ( select “Dalvik, Data, Cache” ) – Swipe to wipe
- Copy image file to phone, ignore this if you have copied to SD card
- Select Install – Install Image – select evolution_arm64_bgN_slim-8.2-unofficial-20240124.img – select “System Image” and Swipe to confirm flash
- Select Reboot – System

If something goes wrong and you want to unroot it, just flash the ROM to make it works again.
Notes / Warning!
- Use at your own risk, I’m not responsible for bricking your device.
- Using the incorrect file may brick your device.
- If your target device has a custom firmware flash counter, Rooting will trigger it. If you’re lucky, Triangle Away has support for your device and can be used to reset the counter.
- If you have a KNOX-enabled device, Rooting will trip the KNOX WARRANTY VOID status !
- If your device storage is encrypted, Rooting will wipe your data !
- If you have locked bootloaders, flashing one of these will probably brick your device – with the exception of Nexus devices, which will usually automatically “OEM unlock” and wipe your data !
- Make sure to backup your important data before root it.
