How to Install Pixel Experience 12.0 v400.c for Samsung Galaxy A50 Android 12 GSI maintained by ponces. These are alpha builds Sync with phh’s AOSP 12.0 v400.c based on a staging repo from PE and due to this no bug feedback will be taken into account. This is not considered daily use, though your mileage may vary. Known bug: screen flicker, read below how to fix it. Use at your own risk, I’m not responsible for bricking your device.
Pixel Experience 12.0: Download and Term
- Your phone must be Installed Custom Recovery for Android 10. If not, you can read TWRP Recovery for Samsung Galaxy A50 SM-A505F Android 11
- Download PixelExperience_arm64-ab-vndklite-12.0-20211121-UNOFFICIAL.img.xz ( extract it to get img file, use 7-zip )
- Download latest BiTGApps-arm64-12.0.0-R39_signed.zip or latest ( if necessary )
- Download phh’s-superuser-ab.zip ( if necessary )
- Download phh_s_SuperUser_v1.0.3.3.apk ( if necessary )
- Download androidhowto.txt
- Copy ROM and GApps to SD Card (recommended)
How to Install Pixel Experience 12.0 on Samsung Galaxy A50:
- Enter TWRP Recovery Mode: Turn power off, Connect the phone with a USB cable, Press and hold Volume Up + Power Key, when Galaxy Logo appears release power key only, keep pressing volume up until TWRP Recovery Mode Appears.
- Select Wipe – Format data ( type “yes” and confirm )
- Select Wipe – Advanced wipe ( select “Dalvik, Cache, System” ) – Swipe to wipe
- Select Install – Install Image – PixelExperience_arm64-ab-vndklite-12.0-20211121-UNOFFICIAL.img – select “System Image” and Swipe to confirm flash
- Select Reboot – System
Rooting Pixel Experience 12.0 if necessary
- Enter TWRP Recovery Mode: Turn power off, Connect the phone with a USB cable, Press and hold Volume Up + Power Key until TWRP Recovery Mode Appears.
- Select Reboot to Recovery
- Connect Phone to Internet
- Install Magisk app and Open it. Magisk will ask to do additional setups. Let it do its job and the app will automatically reboot your device.
- Done
How to Fix Screen Flicker
- Install Mi-Xplorer and grant for superuser
- Open Mi-Xplorer
- Edit rw-system.sh ( system/bin) path, look for “ro.surface_flinger.use_color_management” Change value from false to true
- Reboot
- Open settings – Display – Colors, select the “Natural” or “Adaptive” mode
- Open in system / build.prop, add line “debug.sf.latch_unsignaled = 0” to completely eliminate glitches
- Reboot
Install GApps 12 if necessary
- Enter TWRP Recovery Mode: Turn power off, Connect the phone with a USB cable, Press and hold Volume Up + Power Key until TWRP Recovery Mode Appears.
- Select Wipe – Advanced Wipe ( select “System” ) – Repair or Change File System – Resize File System – Swipe to Resize
- Select Mount – ( select “System, Vendor” ), Back to home
- Select Install – select BiTGApps-arm64-12.0.0-R39_signed.zip Swipe to confirm Flash
- Select Reboot – System

If you want to uninstall this custom ROM and back to stock ROM, just flash the stock ROM to your device. Flashing stock ROM will also uninstall TWRP Recovery and it will back to stock Android Recovery.
Notes / Warning!
- Use at your own risk, I’m not responsible for bricking your device.
- Using the incorrect file may brick your device.
- If your target device has a custom firmware flash counter, Rooting will trigger it. If you’re lucky, Triangle Away has support for your device and can be used to reset the counter.
- If you have a KNOX-enabled device, flash custom rom and Rooting will trip the KNOX WARRANTY VOID status!
- If your device storage is encrypted, Rooting will wipe your data !
- If you have locked bootloaders, flashing one of these will probably brick your device – with the exception of Nexus devices, which will usually automatically “OEM unlock” and wipe your data !
- Make sure to backup your important data before root it.
