How to Install Havoc-OS 3.8 ROM on Samsung Galaxy A30 Android 10 Q. Havoc OS 3.8 ROM comes with ROM OS Android 10 Q offers more features, light and FingerPrint worked. It does not support voLTE and MTP, You can transfer file via TWRP recovery. This ROM Required: Installed TWRP Recovery. Download

  1. Your phone must be Installed TWRP Recovery for Android 10. If not, you can read TWRP 3.4.0.0 for Rooting Galaxy A30 Android 10 Q
  2. Download Havoc-OS-v3.8-20200821-Official-GApps-arm64-ab.img.xz Extract downloaded file to img using 7-zip
  3. Download latest Open GAPPS: Platform=ARM64, Android=10, Variant=nano
  4. Download custom kernel boot_a30_v14.6_by_minhker98.img
  5. Copy rom Havoc-OS img, custom kernel and GApps to SD Card

Notes:

Some Custom ROM does not need installed custom kernel. If you faced boot loop on Samsung Galaxy logo, it may be you need to flash the custom kernel. ( Lineage / Havoc does need custom kernel, Resurrection Remix / Evolution X needs installed custom kernel )

How to Install Havoc-OS v3.8 on Samsung Galaxy A30:

  1. Enter TWRP Recovery Mode: Turn power off; Press and hold Volume Up key + Power key, when samsung logo appears release power key only, keep pressing volume up until TWRP recovery appears
  2. Select Wipe – Format Data – type “yes” and confirm
  3. IGNORE THIS IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED Custom Kernel. If not, Select Install ( If image file in SD Card: Select Storage – Micro SD card – OK ) – Install Image – select boot_a30_v14.6_by_minhker98.img – thick “boot” and Swipe to confirm flash
  4. Select Wipe – Advanced ( Dalvik, Cache, System ) Swipe to wipe
  5. Select Install ( If image file in SD Card: Select Storage – Micro SD card – OK ) – Install Image – select Havoc-OS-v3.8-20200821-Official-GApps-arm64-ab.img – thick “System Image” and Swipe to confirm flash
  6. Select Reboot – System
  7. Setup the Phone

Install GApps if necessary

Rooting if necessary

If you want to uninstall this custom ROM and back to stock ROM, just flash the stock ROM to your device. Flashing stock ROM will also uninstall TWRP Recovery and it will back to stock Android Recovery.

Notes / Warning!

  1. Use at your own risk, I’m not responsible for bricking your device.
  2. Using the incorrect file may brick your device.
  3. If your target device has a custom firmware flash counter, Rooting will trigger it. If you’re lucky, Triangle Away has support for your device and can be used to reset the counter.
  4. If you have a KNOX-enabled device, flash custom rom and Rooting will trip the KNOX WARRANTY VOID status!
  5. If your device storage is encrypted, Rooting will wipe your data !
  6. If you have locked bootloaders, flashing one of these will probably brick your device – with the exception of Nexus devices, which will usually automatically “OEM unlock” and wipe your data !
  7. Make sure to backup your important data before root it.
