Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 SM-T550 Wi-Fi

How to enter Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 SM-T550 Recovery Mode, Hard reset, Download Mode / Odin Mode and Pattern Unlock.

Recovery Mode Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 SM-T550

1. Turn off the device
2. Press and hold Volume UP key + Home Key, while pressing these keys then press and hold Power key for a while
3. Release all key when Android or Samsung logo appear then you will see Android System Recovery
4. Use Volume keys to select Menu
5. Use Power key to Confirm

Download Mode or ODIN Mode

1. Turn off the device
2. Press and hold Volume Down key + Home Key, while pressing these keys then press and hold Power key for a while
3. Release all key when you see ODIN Mode / Download Mode
4. Use Volume Up key to continue
5. Use Volume Down key to cancel ( Restart the device )

Hard reset Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 SM-T550 using External Keys ( remove your forgotten pattern unlock )

1. In Recovery Mode select wipe data / factory reset
2. press Power key to confirm
3. select Yes — delete all user data, press power key to confirm
4. select Reboot system now to finish hard reset

Hard reset using Settings Menu

1. Turn on the device
2. Select Apps
3. Select Settings
4. Select Backup and reset
5. Select Factory data reset
6. Select Reset device
7. Select Erase Everything
8. Select Ok

Warning! If you perform a hard reset, make sure to back up important data. The data can not be recovered after perform a hard reset.  If you forgot your unlock pattern, It will remove your forgotten pattern unlock.

1. Hi!
   I am trying to set my samsung tab 9 sm-t550 back to factory settings however, it keeps asking me for a passcode that i have forgotten and wont turn off without the passcode.
   I have tried every “rebooot method” that i can find online and nothing is working.
   when i hold the power + volume down + home button, a blue warning screen comes up asking to download something (not sure what).
   it started downloading something idk what, but never actually finished as the tablet died, which is when i tried many other options to get to the menu to reset to factory settings but nothing has worked.
   PLEASE HELP!!!
