TWRP 3.4.0_9-0 Root Samsung Galaxy M30s SM-M307F BTK1 Firmware

How to Install TWRP 3.4.0_9-0 and Root Samsung Galaxy M30s SM-M307F Android 10 Q – BTK1 Firmware ( Security Patch Level 1 November 2020 ) using TWRP 3.4.0_9-0 + Patched Magisk. This TWRP ( Updated: 2020 – 12 -21 TWRP_MagiskPatched.tar) is available for GSI and One UI for Android 10 Q and works for BTK1 Firmware and included magisk. Read notes / Warning on the bottom of this post before perform root your Samsung Galaxy M30s. Use it at your own risk! Follow the instruction carefully and Make sure to backup all your important data!

Download:

• Enable Developer Options: go to Settings -> About device. Tap 7 times on Build number to enable Developer options.
• Enable OEM unlock and USB debugging options ( Settings -> Developer options )
• Make sure the bootloader are unlocked, If not read How to unlock Bootloader M30s
• Download and Extract ODIN v3.13.1 from https://odindownload.com/SamsungOdin/
• Download and Install Samsung Mobile Phone Drivers: http://developer.samsung.com/technical-doc/view.do?v=T000000117
• Download Latest Magisk Manager
• Download New_TWRP.zip Update: 2020-12-21 at forum xda-developers original thread you can find the link on the page. Extract it and use OneUI: TWRP_MagiskPatched.tar
• Download Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_xx.xx.2020.zip

Rooting Galaxy M30s SM-M307F Android 10 Q with TWRP 3.4.0_9-0

1. 1. Make sure the bootloader is unlocked, OEM unlocking option is grey out
      
   2. Enter Download Mode : Turn Power Off. Press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down key together, while pressing these keys, connect the phone to computer, then press volume up once.
   3. Open ODIN, IMPORTANT!: Uncheck “Auto Reboot” in Options!
   4. Flashing TWRP_MagiskPatched.tar as AP in ODIN,
   5. Click start.
   6. Magisk is now successfully flashed to your device! Several steps before you can properly use the device.
   7. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP! Press and hold Volume Down + Power Key, when the screen blank quickly press and hold Volume Up + Power key, when Samsung Logo appears release Power key only, keep pressing Volume Up key until TWRP Recovery Mode Appears.
   8. Install Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_01.14.2020.zip
   9. Select Wipe -> Format data, type “yes” and confirm
   10. Select Reboot to Recovery
   11. Setup the phone
   12. Connect the Phone to Internet
   13. Make sure OEM unlock option is grey
   14. Install Magisk Manager. Magisk Manager will ask to do additional setups. Let it do its job and the app will automatically reboot your device.
   15. Done! You can use Root Checker to check it, Enjoy!

If something goes wrong and you want to unroot it, just flash the ROM to make it works again. Read How to flash Galaxy M30s.

Notes / Warning!

1. Use at your own risk, I’m not responsible for bricking your device.
2. Using the incorrect file may brick your device.
3. If your target device has a custom firmware flash counter, Rooting will trigger it. If you’re lucky, Triangle Away has support for your device and can be used to reset the counter.
4. If you have a KNOX-enabled device, Rooting will trip the KNOX WARRANTY VOID status !
5. If your device storage is encrypted, Rooting will wipe your data !
6. If you have locked bootloaders, flashing one of these will probably brick your device – with the exception of Nexus devices, which will usually automatically “OEM unlock” and wipe your data !
7. Make sure to backup your important data before root it.
